The Double T

Following on from yesterdays post, the next pattern to try is called Double T block. This is also made up of mainly flying geese, but this time you make them up using three colours in each 'goose'.

You make up the 'geese' the same way as with the toad in the puddle but using an alternate fabric at the 'fox face' stage.

And then when it comes to sewing it all together, you sew them squares again, then into three strips and then into the whole block.

I feel like if you were really clever, you could have worked out how to cut the material to make sure all the trees were standing up in the same direction. I'm just not that clever/precise. One day when I've far too much time on my hands, I may just give it a whirl.

  1. I am in awe, it is like a puzzle! It looks like hard work - love the fabrics and the colours!

  2. Thanks Annie, I think that's why I like patchwork so much - I've always loved a good puzzle. I'm so pleased with the colours on this one, that I'm thinking of making it into a cushion cover, so you may see it on here again soon, c x
