Advent
Well the advent calendar is now finished and has been gracing our wall for many days now (I think I got it finished by the 7th, which wasn't bad for me!).
After stitching all the numbers on, I then stitched all the pockets together in their rows.
Then came the pinning and stitching to the background.
Sewed a tree trunk on, a star at the top, some ribbon across the bottom and of course pocket number 24. Edged the top and bottom of the background material and tra-la-lah, c'est fini!

ReplyDeleteI also love the idea that I can keep adding to it as well, I feel it could do with some more ribbon on it and also some tinkly bells. I do worry that I may overwork it though, so I think I'll leave it until I see it with fresh eyes next Chrimbo.
