A Monthly Make 2011

For anyone that does read my blog regularly (and I really appreciate any of you that do) you may have noticed a button in the side bar. It's for lovely The Felt Fairy's group, where we are meant to make at least one thing a month and then upload photos of said thing onto Flickr so we can all see what each of us has been up to.

I thought I'd join in, I've never joined in on anything like this before and thought it might be fun being part of a group. So I diligently copied the button stuff, posted it on my sidebar and then presently forgot to bother making anything for January or for even looking at the Flickr group. Not a good start.

I'm hoping that since I've now mentioned it on here, I will get round to making something for February. I'll keep you posted, you lucky, lucky folks!
(That reminds me of something: every morning when my eldest goes off to school I say to her 'have a lovely day' or something of the likes. It's not intentional, and I hadn't really realised I did it until this week when my 2yr old has started shouting out to various people walking away from her 'have a lucky day!'. I don't want to correct her, because I think it's quite a sweet thing to wish people).

So hope you have a LUCKY day!

  2. Yes Annie, i thought I'd jump on the ol' popular bandwagon and make an owl. Not sure how yet, but just my take on one. There now I've put it down in writing I best get on and do it.

  3. In our family, we call people yucky ducks. This comes from a 5 year old, next door neighbor, who had a speech impediment. When he learned we were having chocolate cake for dessert, he said "You yucky ducks!" It's stuck for 40 years.
